Visakhapatnam: Rajasthan Government has invited Rajasthani entrepreneurs settled in Andhra Pradesh and other States to invest in Rajasthan.
The campaign named 'Padhora Mahre Desh' (come to my homeland) launched two years ago has yielded an encouraging response with increase in sale of industrial plots from around 300 to over 3,500 last year.
Officials from Rajasthan State Industrial Development & Investment Corporations (RIICO) who were here to hold a roadshow told Bizz Buzz on Friday that the Rajasthan Gvernment is launching 40 industrial areas with an investment of Rs.1,000 crore.
Sanjay Jha, Senior Regional Manager of RIICO at Jodhpur and R.K. Gupta, Regional Manager based at Nagaur, said the aim of their campaign is to convert brain-drain into brain-gain.
They said there are a window of opportunities in fintech city being developed at a cost of Rs.3,000 to Rs.4,000 crore near Jaipur International Airport, Delhi-Mumbai Dedicated Freight Corridor 30 percent of which is covered in Rajasthan, gas grid and PCPIR region
Through varios incentives and industrial-friendly policies.
For the interactive meet organised by RIICO in association with Rajasthan Sanskritika Mandal, about 55 distinguished enterpreneurs from Andhra Pradesh were invited.
The officials explained about the benefits of Rajasthan Industrial Promotion Policy- 2019 and Mukhmantri Laghu Udyog Prothsan Yojana by way of free conversion of land, exemption on stamp duty and reimbersement in employment generation on EPF and ESI and investment subsidy.
Officers also gave details on new special parks dedicated for industries for producing toys, and Jems and Jewellery Agro Park and medical devices' park and area earmarked for granite industries. They said there are opportunities for investment in leather industries, hand processing tools and ceramics.
All plots are allotted through te-auction to ensuretransparency. It was stressed that strategic locaton, availability of human resources and abudant mineral resources are a plus point to investors in Rajasthan. Also due to refinery at Pachpadra and Barmer, RIICO is developing petroleum Corridor a in large area to have petro-based industries. Further, Mali Marwar Industial Area Region and Jodhpur Pali Marwar Industrial Area Region are also being developed to take advantage of Dedicated Freight corridor passing through Rajasthan.
